Mom Center
"We empower Ugandan mothers to achieve economic independence, ensuring that children are not forced to leave school due to tuition fees."
The Mom Center Project is implemented by Hope is Education with support from KOICA.
Phase 1 was carried out from 2019 to 2021, followed by Phase 2 from 2022 to 2024. Currently, Phase 3 is underway with the goal of promoting the economic independence of Ugandan mothers.
Through the project, Hope is Education provides mothers with sewing skills training and operates the Mom Center to support stable income. In addition, soft skills training helps mothers recognize the importance of their children’s education, ensuring that their economic independence leads to the payment of school fees.
By strengthening families—the most important foundation of education—Hope is Education helps children gain access to quality education.
